Sega Genesis & Sega CD

You'll be needing two power sockets for a couple of bulky PSUs, but with a Sega Genesis combined with its CD add-on you'll be experiencing a truly cutting edge 16-bit era gaming setup. Also, some pretty excellent and some properly weird games too, and that's why you should consider taking a look at this Sega Genesis & Sega CD bundle eBay auction.

Both the Genesis and Sega CD on offer are the more compact mark 2 variants, are fully working, and come with a joypad, the necessary TV leads, and the two PSUs. The machines are also accompanied by Sonic CD, Loadstar, National Hockey Night, and Dracula on CDs, and by Battletoads, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic 3 on cartridges.

Indiana Jones in the Lost Kingdom (C64)

A rather rare and mostly forgotten curio for the Commodore 64 has appeared on eBay, and you can bid on it via this Indiana Jones in the Lost Kingdom (C64) auction. The game comes complete in its original packaging, seems to be in great condition, and was once apparently a review copy.

And another fantastic Speccy!

I generally do try and mix things up in Retro Treasures, but I just had to break my (never really revealed) posting rules in order to let you lovely vintage gaming people know about this pretty excellent ZX Spectrum eBay auction. This particular, beautiful Sinclair micro comes with a new membrane for its keyboard, and a very handy composite mod that will allow you to connect it to modern TVs.

The Spectrum on offer also comes a video cable, the Sinclair power supply, and big selection of boxed, complete games. Among them you'll find R-Type, Driller, Carrier Command, Cobra, Match Day II, Bomb Jack, Ikari Warriors, and Batman.

Ultima: Quest of the Avatar (NES)

I have never played any western RPG on Nintendo's venerable 8-bit console, but I can't help but be intrigued by this Ultima: Quest for the Avatar (NES) eBay auction. The copy on offer seems to be in great condition and comes complete in its box. As for the game itself, it is supposed to be a slightly different, slightly cut-down of the classic Quest of the Avatar CRPG which is definitely a good thing.

One Fine ZX Spectrum+

It may not look as sleek or unique as the original Speccy models, but the improved keyboard and the reset switch of the ZX Spectrum Plus more than make up for the micro's bulkier size. Other than that it's a lovely Sinclair 8-bit, does everything you'd expect it to, and you can grab one via this ZX Spectrum + eBay auction. The computer comes complete with power supply, leads, a Sony tape player, the official manual, a third party user guide, and a box of games and tapes.

Sega Saturn and 28 Games

The much maligned but also much loved Sega Saturn is an excellent 2D console, a decent 3D one, a complex system to program for, and a truly unique gaming platform that's absolutely worth looking into and collecting for. Handily, this pretty impressive Sega Saturn eBay auction might be a great way to get things started.

You will bidding on a working console with two controllers (only one works; seller doesn't mention whether it's the analog or the standard one), manual, cables, backup cartridge, and 28 games. Among the games you will find such classics as Crusader No Remorse, NBA Jam Extreme, Tomb Raider, Daytona USA, and Virtua Fighter 2.

Amstrad CPC 464

If you are looking for a chance to grab a modestly priced Amstrad CPC 464 (complete with monitor) then you should definitely have a peek at this eBay auction for one. The micro on offer powers on, has a single wobbly key on its keyboard, and seems to be in decent/working condition overall.

Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny (Amiga)

A fine RPG for your Amiga, a wonderful box filled with goodies, a map, a coin, and a classic  fantasy experience crafted by Richard Garriott's Origin can all be grabbed via this Ultima V (Amiga) eBay auction. It is (quite obviously) the 1990 Amiga boxed version of the game you'll be bidding on, and it seems to be in great shape.

Nintendo Virtual Boy - NIB

The Virtual Boy, one of the very few Nintendo products that really bombed, was, despite its many problems, an utterly unique machine. It was a portable early-VR system with black-and-red visuals that, occasional headache aside, allowed gamers a glimpse of truly stereoscopic 3D, and sported some pretty well designed games.

You can grab one to see what the fuss was (not) all about back in the mid '90s via this Nintendo Virtual Boy eBay auction. The console on offer is essentially new, has never been used, never taken out of its packaging, and comes complete in the original box.
